Sunday 11's
There will be a 7-game schedule beginning on Sunday, April 26 and running through Sunday, June 14. We will not play games on Memorial Day Weekend. A coaches meeting will be held in late March at the North Park Lounge to discuss schedule, rules, and rosters. Sign up for the team below.
Each season, the NHAA joins other local Baseball Associations and participates in a Sunday Travel League. All registered NHAA players, ages 9-12 (Minor/Bronco) who are interested in playing competitive baseball on Sundays are encouraged to sign up.
Sunday Baseball is an opportunity to further develop baseball skills by playing additional games outside of the regular in-house schedule. We typically play teams such as Cranberry, McCandless, Brad-Mar-Pine and others. The level of competition in this league is much higher than in-house baseball. We have found that competing teams use the Sunday Baseball League to field kids who have made or are trying to make their respective Summer Tournament Team.
Tryouts
Coaches will evaluate the kids as they run through several throwing, hitting, running, and fielding tests. Each kid is then graded and ranked. The top 11 kids will be considered the "starting" roster and the remaining kids will be considered the "reserve roster", and called-up on an as-needed basis. We have learned from our past experiences that approximately 20 kids will be utilized from the total roster.
We anticipate a total of four (4) teams, one per age level.
Registration is free and courtesy of the NHAA, and team sponsorships are also welcome!
