12 Year Old Tournament Team
(Cooperstown, New York - 2006)
The 2006, 12-Year-Old Baseball Tournament Team went to the birthplace of Baseball, Cooperstown, New York and played in one of the premier baseball tournaments in the Eastern United States. Teams came from cities all around the United States as far west as California and as far south as Florida to play baseball for an entire week.
Highlights of the week included a skills competition, homerun derby, and of course plenty of quality tournament baseball games. The players enjoyed pin trading with opposing teams, swimming in a baseball glove shaped swimming pool and bunking together each evening in bunk houses named after famous baseball legends. A visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame was fun for all. Players enjoyed learning about the game from past to present. The players enjoyed the competition on the field and the camaraderie off the field.
Players earned the coveted Cooperstown Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Ring for their participation in the weeklong tournament. While the players played their hearts out on the field, parents and families enjoyed contributing by cheering on their favorite team - The North Hills Indians. For the second year running, the North Hills Parents and Families won The Best Team Cheer Competition. North Hills Athletic Association is proud of their players and look forward to highlighting future participants.
